Many facilities have age requirements. Typically, minimum class age is 12 unless accompanied by an adult. Some gyms offer childcare (like the YMCA). At this time, our instructors do not teach Family Zumba, Zumba Kids, or Zumbini. That said, children aren’t prohibited from attending.
Bear in mind:
- Music is often very loud in Zumba. If your children are unable to attend childcare options, we recommend packing some headphones for them to protect their ears.
- Sometimes classes can be crowded, which makes for tight space. Kids often don’t have as developed spatial awareness and sometimes can get underfoot.
- Some more “adult” music can be used in class.
